I got in to the contract attorney position today for 8:30am and left to work a shift at the theatre that I picked up from another co-worker who needed coverage.  Both jobs today were pretty uneventful.  There’s no court on Fridays—and this week has been slow due to the illness of co-counsel, and at the partner level at that.  I’ve enjoyed the slowed pace.

Thursday nights at the theatre are karaoke nights.  Once all the shows have let out, the Time Out New York lounge gets going with belters singing their hearts out.  It’s something I’ll miss when I leave, so tonight I decided to forego packing more boxes and stayed behind when my shift finished up.   I figured I’d hang out with the people from New World Stages and throw a few back.

Unfortunately, I think I threw a few too many back.  And there I’ll stop.  It was a good night.  Nothing untoward occurred.  Unfortunately.  Just a few drinks with friends.  Something I’ll miss.  With the move coming up soon, I’ve been feeling a bit nostalgic for days that haven’t yet gone by.  Odd how that happens, eh?  This move has certainly got my emotions all flustered.

  1. Hey clerk,

I know you’ve updated a few posts, but because you’re so far behind, I can’t even figure out which ones have been updated.

There have been times in the past where you updated, but didn’t do it from oldest to newest, so there were gaps, which makes it even more confusing.

Seriously, why don’t you just start: Chapter 2 — In Kalamazoo or wherever you are clerking, and do one big wrap-up post of all of the other shit?
